£36,000-£40,000 depending on experience

 
The Living Room Cinema is an exciting boutique cinema company with two existing cinemas and bold ambitions. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to oversee all our marketing activity and to help lead us in the next stage of our growth.
 
You will be working closely alongside our CEO, Financial Controller and Head of Operations and so this role is based in our Liphook cinema, an hour from London. You will be expected to be at the Liphook cinema three days per week, and to visit our other venues, especially in the run up to a new cinema launch.
 
The Marketing Manager will be the key marketing contact across our cinema marketing teams. Whilst all our cinemas are part of a wider group, each has its own identity and relationship with the local area. Within this role you will be required to understand the nuances of each venue and support the local marketing teams, ensuring all activity fits within the company brand and strategy.  
 
As part of such a small team, this role is also very hands-on and there are some core marketing responsibilities to this position, particularly for the Liphook cinema. Your days will be varied and exciting - you may be working on an outdoor cinema screening one day, playing a key part in organising a film festival the next, organising for a promo video to be shot in the cinema or hosting A-list talent for a gala screening alongside your day to day responsibilities.
 
You’ll also be required to represent the company at film screenings, presentations and other industry events.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Devise and deliver our marketing strategy across all cinemas, overseeing all above the line campaigns, brand campaigns & partnerships, membership campaigns, as well as digital strategy across email marketing, website and social platforms
  • Devise and implement new opportunities for customer engagement and to grow and develop our audiences, using new platforms and unique ideas to reach people in engaging and innovative ways
  • Deliver the marketing strategy for our membership scheme - regularly reviewing our membership offer to ensure we are delivering the best to our most loyal customers
  • Communication of campaign strategies, timelines and key beats to internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate and share campaign results and digital insights to key stakeholders and use this information to inform decision making
  • Ensure our professional profile on Linkedin is engaging, relevant and up to date, and that we are accurately represented within industry circles
  • Track spend for all allocated initiatives and brand campaigns, ensuring budgets are adhered to
  • Identify promotional partner opportunities and deliver strategic partnerships
  • Lead marketing campaigns for any newly opening venues
  • Produce high quality copy for email marketing campaigns, local press and the website
  • Oversee housekeeping and future development of our website
  • Ensure each cinema has appropriate POS and in-cinema film materials
  • Line management of two Marketing Executives, and setting objectives for our Marketing Freelancers

Person Specification:

If you are…

  • An experienced marketing professional with a minimum of five years experience in a similar marketing role, preferably in cinema or hospitality
  • Highly organised, motivated, adaptable and capable of working under pressure with shifting business levels and priorities, and across multiple projects
  • Someone who has very strong written and verbal communication skills, and is comfortable with presenting to high level stakeholders
  • A whizz on excel who has experience of setting and managing budgets;
  • A total film buff
  • A creative ideas person who enjoys seeing new initiatives come to life
  • Happy to travel 
  • Someone who has experience of social media platform management, CMS and CRM systems (preferable)
